Community Development

Community Development
The RVRC works with state and federal agencies like HUD, Georgia Department of Community Affairs, and USDA to make the River Valley Region an even better place to live. Programs like DCA’s Community Development Block Program (CDBG) are vital sources of funding available for communities who need assistance with infrastructure projects like water, sewer, streets and drainage, and housing deficiencies. And USDA programs like the Local Food Promotion Program (LFPP) fund projects that develop, coordinate and expand local and regional food business enterprises.
If your community is interested in programs like these, RVRC is able to provide technical assistance with application writing and program administration.
