Growth and Development Through Planning
The economy and quality of life in the River Valley depend on effective transportation and infrastructure systems. The challenge of maintaining and improving these systems is greater than ever, as the need to retain and attract jobs and people to the region is critical. Collaborating with local, state, and federal organizations through several programs and services, RVRC works to ensure the strength and development of the region’s transportation and infrastructure systems.

In 2012, voters in three Georgia regions - River Valley, Central Savannah River Area, and the Heart of Georgia Altamaha - approved a 10-year one percent sales tax to fund regional and local transportation improvements.

Lower Chattahoochee Regional Transportation System LCRTA operates its programs and services without regard to race, color, and national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.
